A few years ago, on a visit with my sister to old town Hastings, I wandered into Respire Living. It was an Aladdin’s Cave of beautiful, stylish and “different” furnishings. So, when I moved from Surrey into the area, I knew exactly where to go for inspiration. Over the last seven months, the owners have been amazing with their ideas and help in transforming my house into a home that I am proud of. And they really complement each other; Julie, with her talent for design and colour and, Richard, with his understanding of all the practical side. I have purchased many items from Respire Living; a stunning sofa, rugs, lights, a large clock: and had wooden flooring, stunning curtains, painting and a beautifully designed bed headboard all organised by Respire Living. There is nothing that they can’t advise and provide. I am thrilled with the results and can’t wait to show off to everyone who knows me. And, as an added bonus, I feel that I have made new friends. Highly recommended.
“When we walked into Julie and Rich’s Respire store , we saw what we wanted but couldn’t quite visualise it or put it together. With Julie‘s knowledge and help (and lots of patience) we’ve ended up with a perfectly matched sofa, armchair and footstool that blend in with the colours and furnishings in our lounge. We absolutely love it!”
Respire Living helped me bring life and beauty to my kitchen and dining area with paint recommendations and furnishings. The customer service was first class. I constantly receive comments about my beautiful kitchen and dining room now. I can’t thank them enough.
We ordered a bespoke sofa and ottoman which has certainly added the “wow” factor to our home. Everyone comments on it! Richard & Julie are very professional, friendly and their knowledge of interior design and decor is exceptional.
Julie and Richard’s gentle understanding was exemplary and non-pressured. Julie read my personal colour taste from my clothing and paintings, whilst Richard added his expertise with attention to measurements, space and ideas. Both complement each other very well. Julie selected the most stunning materials for both rooms; the lounge sofa, ‘Made in Britain’ by John Sankey in a luxurious green velvet with soft furnishings to match and a gorgeous Ottoman covered with a large floral print to pull in the colours from the painting beyond the sofa. They also sourced the dining room table, dresser and matching side cabinet. Their hard work paid off to achieve the most stunning results. I am thrilled and I have received many compliments from friends & family who have visited since the finish of this project.
I can’t thank Richard and Julie enough!
